Vivo Y55L Launched In India For 11,980RS
Hey, What's going on guys my name is AKASH and today I'm back with another Quick Review for you! So without any further talks let's begin.
Vivo Y55L Launched! Quick Review
Vivo Just recently launched the Vivo Y55L the newest in the "Y" series and for the price it's... umm let me be honest Vivo could've done much better job at that price.
I mean a 720p display seriously? If I'm spending near 12kRs on a smartphone it should at least have a 1080p display!
And the display isn't the only thing this phone lacks, I'll talk about a bunch of them below.
So At a glance, the Vivo Y55L comes with a 5.20-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1280 pixels by 720 pixels. Which is like I said above Not something to admire, And not just the resolution the screen itself isn't something worth admiring. I'll talks about it in a minute.
So let's start with the specifications of the device and I'm going to give my personal thoughts on each of them.

Display
The phone comes with a 5.20-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1280 pixels by 720 pixels. Which is one of the worst part of this phone. Yeah I get it, You'll say that "720p is good enough for basic tasks"
Yeah I get it, You'll say that "720p is good enough for basic tasks"
Well, That's right, but at that price (11,980rs) that's something I would expect to be good. I mean at that price range you can easily find phones with both better hardware and software So If you're the kind of guy who likes to watch videos, movies etc. You'll definitely have a hard time enjoying it.
The resolution isn't the only thing that sucks even the panel itself isn't any better. Hard viewing angles and low brightness it's all a compromise in my opinion.
But hey! that's my opinion, Feel free to comment your thoughts about the display down below.
Performance
The Vivo Y55L is powered by 1.4GHz octa-core Octa-core processor and it comes with 2GB of RAM. You'll be thinking that an Octa-core processor is good right?
On which I'll say yes technically, But having an Octa-core processor and having a good Octa-core processor is two different things.
The processor used in this phone isn't the best, But not the worst either. If I had to say then yeah, you'll probably don't see any major lag or overheating on this phone. And the 2GB is also a good edition and again for a 720p display, it's sufficient for almost anything.
But then again, You can find phones with much better hardware specs at the same or even lower price!
Storage.
The phone packs 16GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 32GB via a microSD card. Nothing significant to note.
Camera
As far as the cameras are concerned, the Vivo Y55L packs a 8-megapixel primary camera on the rear and a 5-megapixel front shooter for selfies. The 8MP rear camera isn't the best in the world and the lower light performance is poor.
The 8MP rear camera isn't the best in the world and the lower light performance is poor.
So, I won't use it for some photo sessions, But yeah some casual shots are not bad especially when you have enough light.
The front camera, on the other hand, is great! It also has a front flash to brighten up your selfies and it really works like a charm and is well suitable for low-light selfies. So yeah, apart from the rear cam the front camera is really good.
Other Details
The Vivo Y55L runs Android 6.0 and is powered by a 2730mAh non-removable battery. It measures 147.90 x 72.90 x 7.50 (height x width x thickness) and weighs 142.00 grams.
The Vivo Y55L is a single SIM (GSM) smartphone. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth.
Sensors on the phone include Proximity sensor, Ambient light sensor, Accelerometer, and Gyroscope.
The Phone isn't released in India yet, it's set to be launch soon at both Amazon and Flipkart So subscribe to our newsletter to get notified when they're available to purchase.
