Xolo Era 1x Review!
Hey what's going on guys my name is Akash and today I'm back with another review! This time taking a look at Xolo's New Era 1x. A phone with decent specs and cool features at a reasonable price point, So without any further talks le'ts jump into it.
At A Glance
Coming at a solid price of 4,999 this phone is more than what meets the eye, Sure it'll not blow your mind or something but it does what it's made for! Giving a better more overall great android experience for budget users (namely 4-5k budget)
But at that price comes some compromises and although Xolo did a great job at that price, There's always some room for more - At least that's what I think.
Display
The phone comes with a 5.00-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1280 pixels by 720 pixels at a PPI of 294 pixels per inch. Again not mind blowing But, If you remember last time I checked out the Micromax Canvas Unite 4 Pro . Coming at almost 9k even that phone comes with a 720p display, But that's to be expected as they tried to put a lot features at that price.
Well if I have to say something about the display it's "Usable"
Performance
The Xolo Era 1X is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core Spreadtrum SC9832A processor and it comes with 1GB of RAM, Again at that price it's to be expected.
But if you want a phone with more performance I'll probably look else where. But It's not a complaint or a deal breaker it's just a place I think they could have done better but then again it all comes to real world performance.
And to my surprise it didn't do that much awful Sure there's some shutter while playing games on that 720p display namely "gta sanandreas, Modern Combat 5"
But for some more casual games like "Subway Surfers, Leo's Fortune" It did well, I had no lag
If you want an entry level phone with HD display and decent specs This phone is not that bad.
Storage
The phone packs 8GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 32GB via a microSD card. Again "Average" Can be found at literally every device at that price point.
Camera
As far as the cameras go, the Xolo Era 1X packs an 8-megapixel primary camera on the rear and a 5-megapixel front shooter for selfies. I can't say a lot about the camera it was good especially the front camera was really good. Can't say the same for the rear camera.
Pictures tend to get grainy in low light, But that's the problem of every phone at that price point so its not like you have an option.
If I have to say something its "good for casual selfies but I won't recommend it for anything beyond casual use"
Other Details
The Xolo Era 1X runs Android 6.0 and is powered by a 2500mAh non removable battery.
It measures 145.50 x 72.00 x 8.60 (height x width x thickness).
The Xolo Era 1X is a dual SIM (GSM and GSM) smartphone Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India).
Sensors on the phone include Proximity sensor, Ambient light sensor, Accelerometer.
